Additionally, this course incorporates St John Ambulance’s flagship first aid program, covering a comprehensive spectrum of subjects to empower participants in effectively handling emergency scenarios and administering initial aid to injured individuals. It encompasses the most prevalent first aid injuries and health issues.

Certificates

This is an accredited course. On successful completion of this course, you will be issued a statement of attainment in:

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

St John Ambulance advises, in accordance with The Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace and the guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council, first aid skills are renewed every 3 years and resuscitation skills are renewed every 12 months.

Delivery Mode & Duration

1 Day – Mandatory e-Learning

Participants will be required to undertake an online e-learning module prior to attending the face-to-face workshops for practice and assessment.

Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

Must complete pre-learning before coming to class as topics covered in pre-learning are not covered in the classroom.
Must be able to perform CPR on a manikin on the floor for 2 minutes.
