Need someone to accompany you to your health or medical appointment?

St John Qld can provide assistance and support to help you attend health and medical appointments such as going to the doctor, therapies, the pharmacy, getting a blood test or getting vaccinated.
You will be picked up, and taken to where you need to go and be supported (eg at a hospital appointment). When you are ready, you will be taken back home.

You will first need to register with St John Qld by either calling 1300 785 646 or getting a referral through My Aged Care.

*Accompanied activities are subject to availability. Service available in north Brisbane, Redcliffe Peninsula, Caboolture, Maryborough, Hervey Bay and Bundaberg. Service operates Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays).

How does it work?

  • Call our friendly team on 1300 785 646 and register for the service
  • Let our staff know the date, time and address of your medical appointment (accompanied appointments need to be booked at least 48 hours in advance)
  • A St John Qld support worker will pick you up and accompany to your appointment, and then take you back home
