From handling falls and managing chronic conditions to recognising signs of heart attack, stroke, or sudden illness, the training focuses on the scenarios caregivers are most likely to encounter.

This course is an invaluable resource for those who wish to provide safe, attentive, and informed care for the seniors in their lives.

This course content varies by location and may cover some or all of the following:

Process of Aging
Heart attack and stroke
Diabetes
Cuts and Scrapes
Falls (and fractures)
Poisoning and pill confusion
Heat and Cold-Related Illness

There is no formal assessment as part of this course, but an opportunity is provided to practice practical skills.

Certificates

On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a St John Ambulance statement of attendance. This is a non-accredited training course.
