St John Qld offers a range of emergency and fire training courses. This training provides participants with the skills and knowledge to deal with small workplace emergencies and fires quickly and safely.
All workplaces should designate fire wardens to monitor and manage particular areas in the workplace. By electing fire wardens you are ensuring there will always be someone onsite who has training in how to use fire equipment and differentiate which tool to use and when. Fire wardens can be a known point of contact in case of a fire emergency and can take charge and direct all staff on evacuation procedures. The election of fire wardens reassures those on site in a fire emergency and decreases the chaos that can occur in a fire.
Group bookings for industry
We can come to your workplace and conduct a 4 hour training session for groups of up to 15 workers. The training includes teaching the theory of emergency and fire training as well as customised practice scenarios relevant to your workplace.
Each attendee will receive a Statement of Attainment in the relevant Unit of Competency.
An annual training program is recommended, as a refresher and to train new workers.
