Understanding the NDIS and community access

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s first national scheme for people with disability. It aims to provide participants with a greater ability to choose the supports they want, from whom they prefer, and at times that suit them.

Each NDIS participant receives a personalised plan that details the types of supports they will receive, based on their needs and goals.

St John Ambulance Qld is proud to partner with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as a Registered Provider (Provider No: 4050020633).

This means that if you are an NDIS participant, our community transport services can be funded under Transport, and our telephone social support and community access services can be funded under Innovative Community Participation.

We are well equipped to support you and help you achieve your goals.
