Provide Advanced First Aid is appropriate for people who work in high risk areas, act as first aiders to larger facilities or groups, or work in areas where help may be delayed or have difficulty accessing casualties. This course covers a broad range of advanced skills and provides you with high level skills in management of large incidents, major trauma, sudden cardiac arrest, emotionally disturbed and drug affected casualties.

In this 3 day course, students complete an e-learning module before undertaking the course. Students that have completed HLTAID003 Provide First Aid within the previous 12 months may request an exemption from day one of the course.

Assessment is through a combination of practical first aid activities and a written test paper. You will be required to demonstrate CPR on a manikin on the floor.
