Students learn real skills through a unique combination of hands-on clinical workshops and placements with health professionals as well as self-paced e-learning material.

  • Clinical placement (candidates must assist in treating at least 10 significant casualties)
  • Students that hold some of the units of competency of this course may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer and may be exempt from participating in some of the face-to-face components of the course

Recommended recertification period

The First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice recommends that first aiders should attend training on a regular basis to refresh their first aid knowledge and skills and to confirm their competence to provide first aid.
