More than just transport.

Whether you need to get to the doctors, go shopping, or are heading out socially – we’ll get you there and back. Last year, we delivered over 115,000 community transport trips across Queensland.

We understand that dependable and accessible transport is a great enabler to independence and good quality of life.

The St John service is a reliable, pre-booked and cost-effective transport solution. We transport people of all ages, backgrounds, and needs. There’s no added charges for carers and we’ve got plenty of room for walking frames or support equipment.

Transport doesn’t need to be a challenge. Whether it’s to get groceries or other household items, visiting your favourite café or catching up with friends or family – community transport services are a good alternative to public transport or other modes of transport.

We also offer a number of group transport options, making everyday tasks like shopping for groceries and medical appointments into a social outing.

Transport services questions

We pride ourselves on cost effective and transparent pricing. Fees are based on the distance travelled, type of transport and funding eligibility. Eligible clients can access subsidised transport through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme or Queensland Government Community Transport funding (dependent on location).

Our services are pre-booked, and not “on demand” like taxi or Uber services. Our booking agents are available to take your calls from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Ideally, our cut off for the schedule for the following day is 2:00 pm, but please call as we may be able to accommodate your request.

While we will always make every effort to transport you to the exact location you request, please be aware that parking restrictions may prevent us from doing so. St John Community Transport vehicles are not legally permitted to park in taxi ranks, clearways, loading zones, or emergency vehicle parking spaces.
