Due to the overwhelming community response to the course sale on St John Ambulance (Qld) first aid courses, enrolments will now be accepted until Wednesday 31 May to meet demand. Courses can be undertaken until 30 June 2017.
Concerned parents, grandparents and others have responded to the sale, which offers Provide First Aid with e-learning for just $99 when booked online.
“We hope extending our sale will get even more Queenslanders on board and empower them with training to help save their kids, loved ones or even a stranger if they ever needed to,” said St John Ambulance (Qld) General Manager of Marketing, Ms Paula Price.
“Every year too many children and adults die in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live. It’s so easy to think that it won’t ever happen, but serious accidents can happen anywhere, anytime, and everyone needs to be ready,” said Ms Price.
Tragically, in Australian homes each year, 350 children are killed by accidents, with injuries being the leading cause of death in Australian children, accounting for nearly half of all deaths.1
A staggering 1 in 13 children visit hospitals for injuries and emergencies every year. The most common emergencies for babies and young children are choking, breathing difficulties, burns and scalds, cuts and bruises, febrile convulsions and unconsciousness.2
Could you do little more than call an ambulance in a life and death situation? There has never been a better time to learn the skills to competently and confidently step forward and help in an emergency until medical assistance arrives.
Enrol before midnight Wednesday 31 May at www.stjohnqld.com.au to take advantage of this special offer, and know you are learning with Australia’s largest and most trusted first aid provider. Courses can be undertaken until 30 June 2017.
