“Patients can arrive at hospital with nothing, so I’ll provide them with one of the personal packs of toiletries and supplies that St John puts together, and help sort donated clothing that is gifted directly to the hospital. Sometimes, helping out is as simple as guiding an elderly patient to their car.
I am proud to wear the St John red apron and be there for people who need that extra bit of care when they’re going through a stressful time themselves, or with their loved ones - even if it’s something as simple as providing complimentary tea and coffee to people waiting for an appointment or service. Plus, the staff at the Hospital are always thankful for having an extra set of hands. I’m thankful to the generous people who support our presence in the Hospitals, as it really does make a difference.”
