About the Role

  • Opportunity to join the market leader in first aid training to sell first aid products, equipment and training services to clients in South East Queensland, and to other key regional locations/clients
  • Apply your commercial sales skills and experience in a rewarding and challenging health services environment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand, analyse and work the market to generate sales, grow profitability and enhance the St John brand
  • Develop mutually rewarding client relationships to ensure ongoing business opportunities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, plans and programs within allocated channels
  • Plan, budget, measure and analyse sales performance to ensure success and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with other staff to ensure products and services meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Refer leads for kit servicing, and event health services (concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, etc.) to other staff for follow-up
  • Promote St John to all businesses, agencies, governments and other potential customers

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or other relevant field preferred (but equivalency gained through professional development and work experience will be recognised)
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, account management and customer service, including market analysis, lead generation, value proposition development and cold calling
  • Ability to develop and maintain value adding relationships with clients ideally in B2B environments
  • Proven experience with commercial negotiations and contract management
  • High level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in using MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce an advantage)
  • Ability to coordinate and work with others to collaboratively achieve strategic outcomes
  • Strong organisational, time management and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Availability to travel and flexibility to work outside normal hours when required
  • Working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity principles and legislation
  • Hold and maintain an CA class drivers licence

Conditions of Employment

  • Full-time position with competitive salary, tool of trade motor vehicle, leave entitlements, superannuation and incentives
  • Charity and Not-for-Profit sector tax benefits via salary packaging after 3 months
  • Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday day-work but need flexibility to work outside normal hours as required
  • While the role is based in Brisbane, regular regional travel is required
